Lok Sabha Secretariat has issued the Schedule of Session. The session has been convened by the Hon'ble President Ram Nath Kovind.

Accordingly to the schedule, the Lower House of Parliament shall to meet on Monday, 14th September at 9 AM.

The Rajya Sabha will also meet at a different time on the same day, as it has been decided to stagger the sitting of the two houses due to the COVID-19 guidelines. Citing the existence of extraordinary circumstances, the Parliament shall not have the question hour in this session..

Earlier,- the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs had recommended that Parliament's Monsoon session should be held from 14th September to 1st October.

Intense preparations are underway for the session with several first-time safety measures owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

These measures include testing of all MPs, staggered sitting of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha and use of both chambers and galleries to accommodate members while following physical distancing norms.

The Lok Sabha shall be convened at 9 AM and the session shall continue to 1 PM on September 14.

While from September 15 onwards till October 1, 2020, the Lok Sabha will be sitting from 3 pm to 7 pm.

The Rajya Sabha will be in session from 3pm to 7pm on September 14, the first day, while on the following days Sabha proceeding will be shifted to the first half and will be held from 9 AM to 1 PM till October 1, 2020.
