The Hon’ble Supreme Court has issued a notification regarding a fresh roster that came into effect from October 5.
- PILs and letter petitions are to be dealt with by benches headed by Hon’ble Justices Ramana, R.F. Nariman, Lalit Khanwilkar, DY Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan, and Nageswara Rao, as per the roster.

- Religious and charitable endowment matters are allotted to the benches headed by Hon’ble Justices NV Ramana, UU Lalit, DY Chandrachud, and Ashok Bhushan.
The new roster came into effect from October 5, while the earlier roster notified with effect from July 1, 2019, was in prevalence.
Former Hon’ble CJI Justice Deepak Mishra had introduced the subject wise roster in February 2018 due to controversy aroused after the press conference by four Senior Judges on ‘master roster’. They alleged that the CJI was selectively assigning cases to the benches of his preferences, ignoring the seniority of Judges.
