Actor Rhea Chakraborty has written to CBI for taking action against late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's neighbour Dimple Thawani  for allegedly giving "false and misleading" statement that Rajput had dropped Riya at her place on 13th June which was a day before he was found dead. The letter is addressed to Superintendent of Police, Nupur Prasad stating that Thawani made patently false and Google's allegations against me knowing them to be false, to mislead the investigation in the above case.

Stating the statement to be utterly false the letter says that the statement attracts Sections 203 and 211 of the Indian Penal Code and these are serious offences. With one being punishable with imprisonment for a minimum of 7 years. these allegations were made on Republic TV without any basis. she is an accused in the matter of abetment of suicide Sushant Singh Rajput. This matter is being investigated by the CBI on the orders of Supreme Court of India. A single bench of Honourable justice Hrishikesh Roy of the supreme court directed the Bihar government order to transfer the probe into the death of Rajput to the CBI on August 18. He held that the Bihar police had jurisdiction to register an FIR in the matter of suicide at the complainant of actors father and held the transfer to CBI as valid.
