Pro Bono 

The team of ProBono India works to promote legal activism as we believe that law and society are two sides of the same coin. Law and society are so inextricably interdependent that to both need to be equally improved in order to lead the world into the desired new order. We at ProBono India believe in a better and brighter tomorrow. We believe not just in being passengers on this drive to change – rather, we aim to drive towards the change.

The ethos of imparting education in Gujarat National Law University comprises a mutual endeavour of the Faculty and the students who become part of our august family after clearing the hurdle of a rigorous and strenuous selection procedure, since only the cream of the country finds a place amidst us. The University has been in the process of striving for academic and professional excellence in the field of legal studies in the country. The University became functional from the year, 2004. Our teaching methodology and the student response to it can be safely summarized as being par excellence. Our student fraternity has won us laurels in the various spheres of national and international moot court competitions, paper presentations and various cultural activities. We strive for an all round and inter-disciplinary academic excellence in sync with the other National Law Schools of the country.

Details of the Competition

Ø  Competition is open for law students studying in 3 year law/5 year law, from recognised law colleges in India.

Ø   There will be two rounds in the competition, Preliminary and Final Round. 

Ø   Preliminary Round will be done through Google Form and Final Round will be done through Cisco Webx/Zoom/Google Meet having different rounds as mentioned below.

Ø   In final round there will be rounds on 

·        Current Affairs in Legal Aid and Awareness

·         Audio-Visual Round 

·         Rapid Fire Round 

·        Legal Startups working in the field of Legal Aid and Awareness e) Make a Questions Round 

Ø  Questions will be asked from the area of Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, Public Interest Litigation, Right to Information Act, Human Rights, Consumer Protection Act, Rights of the Victim, Alternative Dispute Resolution. 

Ø   Only 100 teams will be allowed to participate in the Preliminary Round on the first come first serve basis. Registration of the Team having 2 members in each team will be done through Google Form.

Important Dates

Ø  Last date of registration -  October 20, 2020, Till 4pm

Ø  Preliminary Round         -     October 25, 2020 at 7- 00 pm. 

Ø  Final Round                  -       November 1, 2020 at 11 am onwards. 

Note

All the participants will get the certificate of participation

top three teams will get the Certificate of Merit in addition to participation certificate.
