Laws now has come up with another First National Mega Webinar Series on Intellectual
Property Rights. It is scheduled to take place online on Google Meet on 20th,
21st, 22nd, 26th and 29th of
December, 2020 with main theme IPR
and its Implications on the Pharmaceutical Industry. We bring
this webinar for you to enhance and add on to your existing legal knowledge
about IPR and Pharmaceutical Industry with special emphasis on its significance
in the time of Covid-19. The topic has been chosen not just to enhance the
knowledge of the participants but also to shed light on the importance of IPR
in the Pharmaceutical Industry during this crisis. More than any other
technological area, pharmaceuticals match the description of globalization and
need to have a strong IPR system. Participants can participate in the webinar
from any place with the use of their Computer, Laptop and Mobile phone with a
good internet connection. We expect to make it an enjoyable and enriching

About the Speakers
- Ms. Sakshi Pawar is an experienced Intellectual Property Lawyer at Sleepiz AG and a Former Associate at Trilegal. As a patent analyst in Sleepiz AG, she has drafted various service agreements, confidentiality agreements and agreements for licensing of technology or for collaboration and research and has streamlined trademarks, copyrights and trade secret policies of the companies and assisted in international trademark filing; policies for copyright on the software of the company as well as for use of open-source software; and drafting employment agreements/confidentiality agreements to ensure the protection of trade secrets of companies. She has extensively researched the relevant patent laws of EU, USA, PCT and India to ensure compliance within each jurisdiction.
- Advocate Anmol Sharma has practised under several prominent Law firms and has gained invaluable experience in different kinds of legal matters spanning civil, criminal, and corporate laws. He has also appeared before the Hon'ble Delhi High Court for quashing of multiple F.I.R. and in appeals of several civil suits and has drafted several petitions/applications/complaints about cases filed in Hon'ble District Courts. He is a quick learner who adapts to challenging situations comfortably. Besides, he also possesses good oratorical skills to put forward his point of view effectively.
- Ms. Shenoy Rujitha T. R. has specialised in Intellectual Property Rights and Commercial Law and is pursuing her PhD on ‘Patentability issues in Emerging Technologies’ at Inter-University Centre for IPR Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology (IUCIPRS, CUSAT). She has worked as a guest lecturer at School of Legal Studies, CUSAT for one year and assistant professor at Gujarat National Law University for more than three years. Before joining NLUO she was teaching intellectual property laws at the post-graduate level at IUCIPRS, CUSAT for more than two years. She was also a consultant for Green Peace India Society for research on ‘patents and related laws, with special emphasis on patents on agricultural products’ and recipient of IPR Justice Ayyangar summer fellowship of CUSAT. She has presented papers in national and international conferences and has published in national and international journals.
- Mr. Vijay Pal Dalmia is a lawyer practising before the High Court of Delhi and the Supreme Court of India and is one among the partners of the firm Vaish Associates Advocates. He acquired his Law Degree in the year 1986 from the University of Delhi. He is also a registered Patent Agent with the Controller of Patents, Government of India. He has been advising and litigating for national and international clients in the field of Intellectual Property Rights, information and technology, cyber-crimes, data protection, secrecy, media and entertainment, and sports. Mr. Vijay Pal Dal has also acted as Additional Public Counsel, Government NCT of Delhi and its affairs involving Union of India for a period of 5 years.
- Ms. Divya Singh Rathore graduated in law, LL. B. degree from Faculty of Law, Delhi University, Delhi in 2011 and completed her Masters of Law degree from National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), University of Law, Hyderabad in the year 2013. She started her career as Deputy Manager, Law in Bank of Maharashtra, and has published numerous scholarly research articles in different National and International journals of repute and participated in various National and International conferences and seminars. Her research interest lies in Intellectual Property Rights Law generally and Traditional Knowledge & Copyright specifically. She has practical experience of Banking and Insurance Law with special focus on Recovery procedures.
