The Hon'ble Delhi High Court in an interesting matter deliberating on an issue where the allegations against a well-known Start-up (who claims to have introduced a revolutionary passwordless login technology) for copyright infringement, confidential data, trade secrets and prototype of the Application, made scathing remarks against the defendants and passed ad-interim temporary injunction in favour of Plaintiff. The plaintiff is a Start-up by IIM-Ahmedabad Alumni.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE MATTER:
The plaintiff is a well-known start-up founded by IIM, Ahmedabad Alumni who has filed a petition before Hon'ble Delhi High Court seeking damages for infringement of copyright and violation of his confidential data and injunction against the defendants being a well-known startup known as SAWOLAB Technologies Pvt. Ltd. who has basically prepared an app ready to be launched in the commercial market by infringing confidential data, copyright, reports and trade secrets prepared by the Plaintiffs. That as per the court observation the defendants have been ad interim injuncted from commercializing their App if they have not already commercialised the same. Furthermore, the defendants have been directed to remove all the data copied from the Plaintiff's work that have been posted on their web portal.
The defendants
are also restrained from commercializing their App, if they have not already
commercialized the same.
Plaintiff was represented by Mr Krishnendu Datta, Sr. Advocate with Mr Arun Wighmal, Advocate, whereas Defendant was represented by Mr Chander Lall, Sr. Advocate with Mr Ankur Sangal, Advocate. The Suit has been filed by Mr Sonam Sharma, Mr Arun Wighmal and Mr Shashwat Tripathi.
