About the National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID)
The National Intelligence Grid or NATGRID is the integrated intelligence master database structure for counter-terrorism purposes connecting databases of various core security agencies under the Government of India collecting comprehensive patterns procured from 21 different organizations that can be readily accessed by security agencies round the clock.
NATGRID came into existence after the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
About the Job Opportunity
The National Intelligence Grid, Ministry of Home Affairs is looking to recruit to fill up 01 post of Director, 02 posts of Deputy Secretary, 14 posts of Deputy Director and 13 posts of Assistant Director on Deputation Basis (Including Short-term contract) in consultation with UPSC.

Deputy Director (Legal)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategy & Policy
- Management on their implications
- Litigations
- Documentation & Legal Support
- Support to the Program Management Unit (PMU)

Eligibility
A.
- holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; OR
- with five years regular service in level-10 in the pay matrix, (Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500) orequivalent in the parent cadre or department; AND,
B. possessing the following educational qualification and experience (Essential Requirements):
- Bachelor degree in law (L.L.B.) from a recognized university or institute; and,
- experience of seven years* in handling contracts and legal matters in Central Government orState Government or Union territories or autonomous or statutory organizations or public sector undertakings or universities or recognized research institutes.
The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short-term contract) shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.
Deputy Director (RM-FIU)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Building & Managing Relationships
- Ensure tracking of Technology Upgrades/ Roadmaps of the assigned cluster of POs;
- MIS and Documentation
- Prepare and circulate the MIS, Minutes of Meeting (MoM), and Status Updates/Presentations to be made to various stakeholders in a timely fashion.
Eligibility
Officers of the Central or State Government or Union Territories or autonomous or statutory organizations or public sector undertakings or universities or recognized research institution:
A.
- holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; OR
- with 5 years’ regular service in the level-10 (Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; AND,
B. possessing the following educational qualification and experience (Essential Requirements):
- Bachelor degree from a recognized university or institute; and,
- experience of 7 years in financial fraud management in Central Government or State Government or Union territories or autonomous or statutory organizations or public sectorundertakings or universities or recognized research institutes.
Desirable: Dealt with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
Deputy Director (UA-Representative)

Eligibility
A.
- holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; OR
- with 5 years’ regular service in level-10 (Rs. 56,100 -1,77,500) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; AND,
B. possessing the following educational qualification and experience(Essential Requirements):
- Bachelor degree from a recognised university or institute;
- Seven years’ experience in contract management in Central Government or State Government or Union territories or autonomous or statutory organisations or public sector undertakings or universities or recognised research institutes.
The maximum age-limit for appointment by deputation (including short-term contract) shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.
