About the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University 

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU) is a unitary, state technological university[1] in Lonere, Maharashtra, India.[2] It is named after prominent Dr B. R. Ambedkar, a prominent Indian jurist, economist, politician and social reformer.

It was established in 1989 under the Government of Maharashtra Act 1983. It is a statutory State Technical University and was established by the Government of Maharashtra through the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University Act.

The university was accorded the status of an ‘affiliating’ university of the entire State of Maharashtra’ from 2 March 2016, by Maharashtra Act No. XXIX of 2014.

About the Job Opportunity

The University needs legal advice on day to day activities of its administration. In this regard, the University invites applications for the appointment of lawyers, on plain paper.

Duration of Appointment

Two years may be extendable for one year from the date of appointment if required.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • To provide legal advice to the University on various academic/administrative issues, drafting the reply/compliance reports, MoU, RTI, etc. as the case may be and other similar legal works.
  • To assist the University Mumbai High Court legal advisor as and when required. 5 Preference will be given to the local candidates and having working experience of University tribunals (Service conditions Promotions/appointment advertisement etc.) for the case of administration and accessibility.

Who can Apply?

LLB/LLM with suitable experience with approval of the Bar Council of India.

Honorarium

As per the University rules and respective courtrooms per month/ per case (Including local travel) on a retainer basis
