Jai Kisan is a fintech platform that provides sustainable financing for rural emerging markets. It was founded by Arjun Ahluwalia and Adriel Maniego. Jai Kisan focuses on providing credit as well as a suite of financial products to the rural economy. It partners with equipment dealers, agriculture retailers, collection centres and market linkage platforms, to directly provide credit to farmers, working in the agriculture, poultry and dairy value chain.

Role and Responsibilities
- Full Time
- Manage agreements with collection agencies
- Process notices due to delinquency and issue of show cause notices for Defaulters
- Manage the process of issuing required notices to Borrowers / Anchors
- Follow the U/138 notices process and ensure compliance
- Manage, issue, track and respond to notices to the vendors
- Issue and monitor responses of notices to Ex-employees
- Prepare and issue Criminal Notices as per the guidelines
- Identify, brief, and collaborate with external counsels to appear in court and arbitration matters
- Tech alignment of Notifications
- Research on Trademark, Copyright’s issue
- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with senior and all key stakeholders and vendors
- Arbitration- end to end process adherence
Eligibility Criteria
The roles and responsibilities for the Legal position is structured around Fund / Debt raising for the organization
Qualification
Legal degree from accredited, top-tier law school (LL.B. / B.A. LL.B. / LL.M)
Experience
2 – 5 years practice with an established law firm having handled NBFC/ Banking clients or with any NBFC/ fintech company
Skills and Competencies:
- Prior in-house or start up experience will be an additional advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Business savvy – Proficient understanding of business sensitivities and confidentiality
- Strong knowledge and experience of working on Content / IP laws / agreements
- Experience with corporate governance issues and corporate secretarial duties
- Deep knowledge of statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to businesses
