Stoppage To Permit The Entry Of Students To Any Educational Institutions: Delhi HC
An appeal has been filed by 5 students who were granted admission in 2016 by L.N. Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Bhopal without undergoing the centralised counselling conducted by the Department of Medical Examination.
The Medical Council of India issued the letters of discharge to the five students.
The five students moved the High Court against this discharge letter.
The Court stated that, “It is high time that such backdoor entries in educational institutions, including medical colleges, should stop. Lakhs of students all over the country work hard and toil to secure admissions to educational institutions on the basis of their merit”.

The Bail application was rejected as they showed their complicity with the other accused.
The nature and gravity of the offence committee by them involves a wrongful loss to the huge public money of Rs.4,000 crores.
The Court held that, “The applicants were involved in the grave offence affecting the economy of the country and continue to reap the benefits of the crime committed by them, do not deserve any indulgence and any sympathy to them being the women or mother of small kids”.
Supreme Court Seeks Assistance Of The Central Government On A Plea-seeking COVID-19 Vaccination Of Pregnant And Lactating Women
The Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR) sought the inclusion of pregnant and lactating women in the category of persons eligible to take Covid-19 vaccine.
The crux of the petition is that “denial of vaccination to pregnant and lactating women amounts to a denial of access to maternal health which is a threat to the right of life guaranteed under Article 21 of the Indian Constitution, 1950”.
