About School of Law
The School of Law at Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun is running two full time five- year programs i.e. B.B.A.- LL.B.& B.A.-LL.B. approved by the Bar Council of India along with LL.M. and Ph.D. in law. The School of Law envisions achieving supremacy in legal education through innovative teaching, experiential learning, creative enquiry, social awareness and research, along with industry- oriented curriculum and training students through rigorous research, moot court competitions, class room discussions on case laws and variety of internships with Supreme Court judges, top law firms and senior advocates.
Concept Note
The School of Law, Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun is organizing five days Virtual Faculty Development Program on ‘Shifting Paradigm in Legal Teaching: Adoption to New Methodologies’ from 20th-24th September, 2021.
Teaching Pedagogy has undergone several changes since the ancient ages. From attending the Ashrams of Gurus to attending modern day schools, from studying religious texts and warfare to studying science, arts and commerce etc., the transition has been slow and gradual. These changes are attributed to the development of the society and mankind. Another pertinent fact about these changes is that none of them were unforeseen by the stakeholders, however, in 2020, the entire world was hit by the wrath of the COVID-19 pandemic and India was subjected to a nationwide lockdown. The premise of the Faculty Development Program focuses majorly on adaptation of new skills in the Teaching and Research areas providing nascent and promising platform to encourage and evaluate the new scopes and dimensions in the field of education.
