This year's annual SLS/BIICL Workshop on the Theory of International Law will focus on the duty of States to cooperate in International Law. This touches upon related rules such as the legal equality of States, due diligence, good faith and transboundary harm.
The overarching theme of the workshop is to evaluate the authority and specificity of the duty to cooperate and its related rules in light of the past twenty years of State practice. Panels will discuss general rules and processes of cooperation as well as cooperation in specific fields including global health law, the law of the sea and human rights.
