Customs (Import of Goods at Concessional Rate of Duty or for Specified End Use) Rules, 2022 (SEP 12, 2022)

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 156 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), and in supersession of the Customs (Import of Goods at Concessional Rate of Duty) Rules, 2017, except as respect things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby makes the following rules.

DELHI HIGH COURT 

Delhi High Court Orders St Stephen College to Follow DU Policy for Admissions Process (SEP 12, 2022)

The Delhi High Court ordered St. Stephen's College to adhere to Delhi University's admission policy and give 100% weight to CUET 2022 examination scores when granting admission to the non-minority students in its undergraduate programs who are applying for the 2022-2023 academic year. 

The Bench of Justice Satish Chander Sharma and Justice Subraniyam Prasad also ordered St. Stephen's College to withdraw its admission prospectus published for this academic year. In contrast to the revised admissions procedure published by Delhi University, the college previously gave interviews with 15% of the weight and the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) score 85% of the weight.

Customers will get agent portability option soon (SEP 12, 2022)

In order to provide better convenience to the customers, insurance regulator IRDAI is soon going to give the option of agent portability to the policyholders.

As per the report, agent portability will not be available in general insurance. Life insurance policies with a tenure of up to 20 years and after the initial premium, a policyholder can change the agent. Policyholders can change through the insurance exchange.

A contact was entered into by A and B to murder C. At the last-minute B refused to perform the contract. Therefore, the court of justice will decline its aid to enforce the contract which was wrongfully entered into.
