Tele Mental Health Assistance and Networking Across States (Tele-MANAS) initiative launched on occasion of World Mental Health Day (OCT 10, 2022)

Tele-MANAS aims to provide free tele-mental health services all over the country round the clock, particularly catering to people in remote or under-served areas. The programme includes a network of 23 tele-mental health centres of excellence, with NIMHANS being the nodal centre and International Institute of Information Technology-Bangalore (IIITB) providing technology support. 

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bengaluru and National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHRSC) will provide the technical support.

ED moves Supreme Court to challenge Delhi HC order for quashing probe against Indiabulls (OCT 10, 2022)

The Delhi High Court had quashed the ED probe against the company and held that no coercive action should be taken against Indiabulls.

In February, the Enforcement Directorate searched the premises of Indiabulls Housing promoter Sameer Gehlaut and other related entities and individuals. To increase the market price of its stocks, the company, according to the law enforcement organisation, loaned money to related entities.

Curb Instagram influencers, fake therapists: Karnataka HC to govt (OCT 10, 2022)

Justice M Nagaprasanna was hearing a criminal petition by Sanjana Fernandes aka Raveera, a 28-year-old resident of Bengaluru. A complaint was filed against her by Shankar Ganesh PJ.  

The case is now pending before a Magistrate Court in which she has been accused of offences of cheating under the Indian Penal Code and various sections of the Information Technology Act.
