As part of the Prime Minister’s commitment to accord highest priority towards employment generation, Rozgar Melas were organized at 45 locations across the country today. On this occasion, the Prime Minister distributed Offer of Appointment (OOA) to 71,000 newly inducted recruits through Video Conferencing.

Minister of State for Law and Justice Prof. S P Singh Baghel congratulated the candidates and advised them that this was a great opportunity for them to serve the nation during the glorious period and to keep up their preparations for higher positions also. The employers were mainly from sectors like Defence, Finance, Education, Health, Railways, Home, Power, Water Resources, etc.

Supreme Court declines to transfer HC petitions challenging National Medical Commission rules (NOV 22, 2022)

As per the report by Live Law, the petition was filed seeking to transfer to the Supreme Court the petitions in the High Court of Delhi, Rajasthan, Karnataka and Telangana. The petition challenges the rule of the NMC which mandate that "no more than four attempts shall be allowed for a candidate to pass the first Professional examination".

The bench comprising of Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and Justice Hima Kohli expressed unwillingness to entertain the petition when already the matter has been decided by the Delhi High Court by upholding the rule and had submitted its judgement on November 17.

Delhi High Court Asks Railways To Take Back Demolition Notice Issued To Slum Dwellers In Shakur Basti (NOV 22, 2022)

The high court said in future, if Railways decides to issue fresh demolition notices to the residents there, it shall issue individual notice mentioning the jhuggi number and shall give them time to file replies.

The plea said the high court had in 2019 passed a judgment in the matter of Congress leader Ajay Maken in which the railways was directed to rehabilitate the residents at the slum cluster first before conducting any demolition.

Delhi HC rejects Future Group's plea to terminate arbitration proceedings before SIAC (NOV 22, 2022)

Justice C Hari Shankar said that he has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the arguments raised by the parties and the arbitration before the Singapore International Arbitration Court (SIAC) will continue.

Amazon, on November 17, had moved the Supreme Court for allowing arbitration proceedings to restart at the SIAC.  At that hearing, representing Amazon NV Investment Holding LLC, senior counsel Gopal Subramaniam had pointed out how Future Group was trying to stall the proceedings.

'Heat from Jio Financial Services': Paytm stock crashes 11% to hit 52-week low (NOV 22, 2022)

Shares of One 97 Communications, Paytm's parent, slumped more than 11 per cent to hit a fresh one-year low in Tuesday's trade after a group of Macquarie analysts suggested that Jio Financial Services can pose a "significant risk" for the digital payments firm. Reliance Industries (RIL) recently announced that it would demerge its financial services business and rename it Jio Financial Services (JFS).

Paytm today slumped as much as 11.54 per cent to hit a day low -- also its 52-week low -- of Rs 474.30 on BSE against a low level of Rs 511, hit earlier on May 12 this year.
