Maintaining Classified Data on Cooperatives (13 DEC 2022)
Ministry of Cooperation has initiated process of developing a National Cooperative Database with proactive participation of various States/UTs, NCUI and National Federations and statutory bodies such as NABARD, NDDB, NFDB, etc. for having an authentic & updated data repository of cooperatives working in all sectors all over the country.
In the first phase of development of National Cooperative Database, data collection of cooperatives of three sectors i.e. PACS, Dairy and Fisheries is being taken up.
This was stated by the Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha today.

Mobile location details of alleged lover in court breach privacy right: HC ( DEC 13, 2022)
The High Court of Karnataka has disallowed a Family Court's order to a mobile service provider to submit the call details and mobile tower details of a third party in a matrimonial case between a couple.
The couple aged 39 and 37 are fighting a matrimonial case in a Family Court in Bengaluru since 2018. On February 28, 2019, the Family Court allowed the summoning of the mobile tower record details of another man who was not part of the family case. The husband alleged that this third party was his wife's paramour and he wanted to prove it through the mobile tower details of the third party's mobile number.
NCLAT
NCLAT allows settlement between McDonald's and former partner Vikram Bakshi (DEC 13, 2022)
The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) on Tuesday allowed US food major McDonald's and its former estranged Indian partner Vikram Bakshi to withdraw their petitions filed against each other over Connaught Plaza Restaurants Ltd.
The appellate tribunal also dismissed the intervention application filed by HUDCO earlier opposing the deal. HUDCO had opposed the settlement claiming Rs 195 crore dues from Bakshi and his related entities.
