C-DOT conducts a two-day global IoT/M2M conference in association with DoT and TSDSI (15 DEC 2022) 

The conference aims to evolve a synergistic framework for wider collaboration amongst the key stakeholders of IoT/M2M ecosystem spanning R&D, academia, Government, industry, start-ups, global Telecom associations and Standards Development Organisations. This would facilitate the faster development of innovative, standardised and interoperable IoT/M2M solutions for wide-ranging applications in diverse areas.

Delhi High Court dismisses MakeMyTrip plea against NCLAT order (15 DEC 2022)

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday dismissed a writ petition filed by Nasdaq-listed online travel agency MakeMyTrip challenging an order passed by the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) to deposit 10% of a penalty amount in an appeal against the Competition Commission of India (CCI).

In October, based on a complaint filed by hospitality body, The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India, CCI had held MakeMyTrip-Goibibo (MMT-Go) and hospitality company OYO Rooms guilty of anti-competitive practices and imposed penalties to the tune of ₹223.5 crore and ₹168 crore, respectively.

New Industrial Policy seeks forex pile for financing companies: Report (15 DEC 2022)

The draft “Industrial Policy 2022—Make in India for the world” has been disseminated for consultations with other ministries. The industrial policy which is being developed now intends to boost the access of companies to finance for rapid industrial growth. The policy contains a proposal for establishing a technology fund that would incentivise pioneer firms in areas of advanced technology and identify them for acquisitions.
