ESIC to invest 15 percent of surplus funds in stock market via ETFs (DEC 5, 2022)
This has been done because of the relatively low returns on investments in many debt instruments and the requirement to diversify investment. The investment will begin with 5 percent of surplus funds, and it will be increased up to 15 percent, taking into account the investment’s review after two quarters. This decision came in the 189th meeting of the organisation under the chairmanship of Union Labour Minister Bhupender Yadav at the ESIC headquarters.
