SC dismisses Google's plea for modification in January 19 order upholding NCLAT view on penalty (10 FEB 2023)
The Supreme Court on Friday refused to entertain the plea of Google LLC seeking modification of its January 19 order and said the company can raise its grievances during the hearing of its appeal before the NCLAT.
On January 19, in a setback to Google, the top court had endorsed the order of the NCLAT declining to grant an interim stay on the imposition of a penalty of Rs 1,337 crore on the US tech giant by the competition regulator for allegedly abusing its dominant position in the Android mobile device ecosystem.

The Delhi High Court Friday restrained Parle Products Pvt Ltd from using the name Fabio/Fab!o for its vanilla cream filled chocolate biscuits in a trademark infringement lawsuit moved by Intercontinental Great Brands for violation of its Oreo biscuit trademark.
A single judge bench of Justice C Hari Shankar, while granting interim protection to Oreo, observed that the manner in which Parle in its advertisements declared that Fab!o is required to be pronounced as fa-bee-yo "amounts to a candid acknowledgement" that it is required to be pronounced like Oreo.
