Nirma University is organizing a certificate course on "Law of the Sea and Maritime Law” to be conducted by the Institute of Law, Nirma University under the aegis of the Centre for Continuing Education, Nirma University. The course is designed for Undergraduate, Postgraduate students, Researchers, Scholars, Professionals, Academicians of the related field, and various other stakeholders.

DURATION

Six Months, (Part-Time, Online Mode Four Quadrant – Four Credit Course) Commencing from 07th November, 2023 to 10th May 2024. 

The course is designed for 60 hours. The classes will be conducted every Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM [01 Hour 30 Minutes) in an online mode except on official holidays.

The course contents include very significant aspects of the Law of the Sea and Maritime Law which are as below:

(i) Introduction to Law of the Sea and Maritime Law [06 Hours]                                     

(ii) Shipping Business and Maritime Contracts [14 Hours]                                            

(iii) Maritime Safety and Security, Collision at Sea and Seafarers Welfares [14 Hours]     

(iv) Marine Environments & Maritime Liabilities [10 Hours]                                           

(v) Marine Insurance Law [08 Hours]

(vi) Maritime Claims & Dispute Settlements [08 Hours]
