About Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies
Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies was established in 2003 by Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society. The Institute has attained a distinct position in running programmes like LLM in ADR, IPR & Corporate Law, BBA, B.Com (Hons.), BA (Hons.) Economics, BA (JMC), BCA, BA LL.B (Hons.), and BBA LL.B (Hons.) affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. We collaborate and maintain excellent relationships with industry and leading corporate houses for training and internship opportunities. About the Department of Law
The Department of Law was established in 2017 with the introduction of five year integrated BA LL.B course. Established as a unit of the Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies, the Department aims to provide quality education with a professional approach to the budding legal professionals. The year 2020 has added another feather to its cap with the introduction of the five year integrated BBA LL.B course. Entry to the five year course is through the rankings of the CLAT (Common Law Aptitude Test). There is a total intake of 180 students in BA LL.B course and 120 students in BBA LL.B stream every year. AIMS, Department of Law introduced LLM (Master of Laws) in Intellectual Property Rights, ADR and Corporate Law. The Department is equipped with requisite facilities like Moot Court Room, Mediation Center, Pro Bono Club, IPR Center, Legal Services Clinic, etc. It has a mixture of senior seasoned as well as young and dynamic faculties. The teacher- student ratio has been kept at the optimum level to meet the requirements of the students and the stipulated norms. 
About MAIMS 5th National Moot Court Competition
MAIMS 5th National Moot Court Competition, 2024, aims to provide a platform for students across India to showcase their advocacy and research skills by competing in a professional and challenging environment. The purpose of organizing this competition is to help the participants nurture their prime advocacy skills. The Department of Law, MAIMS has been successful in organizing several mega-events in the recent past, including Intra Moot Court Competition (2019), Intra Trial Advocacy Competition (2020), 1st National Moot Court Competition (2020), 2nd National Moot Court Competition (2021), 3rd National Moot Court Competition (2022), 4th National Moot Court Competition (2023) as well as various Induction Moot Court Competitions. The Inaugural Ceremony of MAIMS 5th National Moot Court Competition, 2 024 will be organized on 8th November, 2024 in online mode followed by the Preliminary Rounds on 9th November, 2024. The qualifying teams shall be competing for offline oral rounds in the premises of Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies, Rohini, Delhi on 25th & 26th November, 2024 followed by the celebration of India’s 75th Constitution Day, 2 024. 
Objectives of the Competition 
  • Engage deeply with current and relevant legal issues to foster critical thinking. 
  • Develop advanced skills in advocacy, legal research, and proficient legal writing. 
  • Cultivate teamwork abilities by collaborating effectively. 
  • Showcase a strong commitment to advocacy and future legal practice through active participation. 
  • Enhance problem-solving abilities by tackling complex legal scenarios and case studies. 
  • Gain practical experience and insights into the legal profession through hands-on activities and simulations.

  • 09 November, 2024: Preliminary Round -I (Online) 
  • 09 November, 2024: Preliminary Round II (Online) 
  • 25 November, 2024: Quarter Final Round (Offline) 
  • 25 November, 2024: Semi Final Round (Offline) 
  • 25 November, 2024: Cultural Event and Official Dinner (Offline) 
  • 26 November, 2024: Final Round (Offline) 
  • 26 November, 2024: Valedictory Ceremony and 75th Constitution Day Celebration (Offline). 
Who can Register?
All the students who are duly enrolled and pursuing a full time three-year [LL.B.] programme or five-year (integrated) [LL.B. (Hons.)] programme from any institution/university recognized by the Bar Council of India or any other equivalent competent authority shall be eligible to participate in the Competition. 
Registration Fees
  • The teams participating in the Online Preliminary Rounds (I and II) shall be required to pay a sum of Rs. 3,000/- (Three Thousand Rupees only) as registration fees for the aforesaid rounds, during Phase-I of the registration. 
  • The teams qualifying for Offline Quarter Final Round shall be required to pay a sum of Rs.3,000/- (Three Thousand Rupees only) as registration fees for the aforesaid and further (Semi Final and Final) rounds, during Phase-II of the registration.
